The first single from the Dream Walker, the album is part of a bigger trans-media project called Poet Anderson The Dream Walker, that also includes a short film, comic books, a graphic novel, videos and animations that all tie in to a central character known as Poet Anderson.

Frontman Tom DeLonge: "The song is a bit of a journey in and out of the many teeth of the music business - an industry that can be a sexy girl on one hand, but a vicious axe murderer on the other."

A wolfpack is a group of wolves that live, feed, and travel as a family group. During World War II, the term was used for marauding groups of German submarines that patrolled the North Atlantic and preyed upon merchant ships. It has since been used as a word to describe a group of friends that are bound together by loyalty and respect of each other.

Tunnels Song Chart

On October 20, 2011 it was announced that multi-instrumentalist Ilan Rubin replaced the recently departed Atom Willard in Angels & Airwaves. This cut came out of the first time that frontman Tom DeLonge wrote with his new recruit. It was just after DeLonge's father passed away, so he finished the song writing with that sad event in mind.

Mercenaries Song Chart

This was one of the first songs that frontman Tom DeLonge wrote with new Angels & Airwaves member Ilan Rubin after the multi-instrumentalist joined the band in 2011. The pair completely altered the tune later on, transforming it into a much more electronic number. "The first version of it had more guitar riffs and was more what you'd expect from my melodies," DeLonge told Digital Spy . "Angels & Airwaves hasn't really had the ability to play that angsty and have that much energy in the past," he added. "But with Ilan we're now able to do it."
