Creation Song Chart

This is the title track of The Pierces' fifth album. Asked by The Sun why they called the album 'Creation,' Allison Pierce replied: "It's a beautiful positive word that has many different meanings."

"We thought it was an empowering title," she continued; "it could refer to the record, which is our new creation, or a recreation of this band through these songs. It just felt so right. As soon as the title was suggested to us."

Flesh and Bone Song Chart

This song reflects Catherine Pierce's contentment after getting engaged to the duo's bass player and musical director Christian "Leggy" Langdon. "It feels so peaceful to sing it," she told The Guardian. "It's about my fiancé. It's just about loving each other really purely."

"A lot of the songs (for Creation) I wrote were about things going well," she added. "Which was weird for me. Before it was always like: 'Why is this not going well?' But I really enjoyed writing happy songs."
