Wonderboy

This song is about how Jack Black and Kyle Gass met and formed Tenacious D. Jack is Wonderboy and Kyle is young Nasty-man. They were both struggling musicians and decided to "Join forces and form a band unlike what has ever been seen."

Dave Grohl from The Foo Fighters and Nirvana played drums on the album.

This song, and the band in general, poke fun at the over-the-top theatrics in certain genrés of Rock music. The video, which was directed by Spike Jonze, makes this clear as it shows Black and Gass portraying their characters in a very dramatic fashion. (thanks, Donovan Berry - El Dorado, AR)
