This endearing track finds Johnson recalling the days of his high school Punk band, who did covers of Minor Threat, Fugazi, and Bad Religion tunes. He told WXRT's Marty Lennartz: "It's all about our first band, Limber Chicken. It's the story of that band, how we got our instruments, practicing and stuff."

"It's funny, because we recorded it on a nylon string acoustic (guitar)," Johnson continued, "and an upright bass and a little hand drum. It's the most un-punk thing you've ever heard. It's pretty funny. As an 18-year-old, I would've just hated me for doing it. The lamest 38-year-old thing to do."

Johnson told the UK newspaper The Sun the story behind this song: "One of my kids said he wanted an edible watch. I asked him what in the world that was. He said: 'You know the ones that just have the numbers on them.' Then I asked him if he meant a digital watch. I had edible digital watch stuck in my head all day. When I sat down with a guitar that night the words just kept spilling out and I got Shot Reverse Shot."
