I Wish I Was a Girl

Her real name is Betsy, and Duritz dated her before he was famous. When the band took off and he went on tour, she feared he was cheating on her, and this song assures her that he wasn't. The song finds Duritz wishing he was a girl so that he could be a trusted friend who could convince her that he was faithful.
