"Lichtenburg" is the fourth song from the 1950 Broadway production Call Me Madam, which has words and music by Irving Berlin. There is no such country as Lichtenburg, which might just be a hybrid of Lichtenstein and Luxembourg, but Perle Mesta, the real hostess with the mostess on which this musical was based, was appointed US Ambassador to Luxembourg in 1949.
