This tune finds The Avett Brothers examining their need to tour. They started writing the song in 2005 and completed it for their 2013 Magpie and the Dandelion album.

One of the downsides of touring is missing out on important events and here bass player Bob Crawford sings a verse which mentions being unable to attend a wedding. He told Rolling Stone: "Most guys on the road, whether you're a rock star or you're just traveling a lot for work, you're going to be in that situation. You have a wife or a girlfriend or a family, and you can't make it. You just can't make it."
