The Poppy Girls are a girl group who all have fathers serving with the Armed Forces. They comprise Megan Adams, and Florence Ransom, Alice Milburn, Bethany Davey and Charlotte Mellor.
This is the Poppy Girls' debut single, which was released on November 10, 2013. It is the official anthem of the 2013 Poppy Appeal with 40p from the sale of every single going to the cause.
Megan Adams, and Florence Ransom were just 10-years-old when the song was released while the other three girls were in their teenage years.
The Poppy Girls showcased the single at the annual Festival of Remembrance the day before its release in front of Her Majesty the Queen and over six million people who watched live on BBC1.
The song was written and originally recorded by American singer-songwriter Regina Spektor under the title "The Call" for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. It features prominently during the film's finale sequence.
