This is a track from Stay Trippy, Juicy J's first solo album since distancing himself from Three 6 Mafia and signing to Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang Records. Wiz contributes to the bridge on this track, one of three appearances he makes on the record.

Juicy explained the song's meaning to Artist Direct: "It's telling you what it is," he said. "It's talking about chicks and how you manage your money. I'm giving some knowledge. If you listen to it, there's some knowledge in there."

The Recollect produced song features something Juicy J has never incorporated before - a Hip-Hop beat. Said the former Three Six Mafia rapper to Artist Direct : "From back in the day until now, I never really made a song with a hip-hop beat over it. I definitely wanted to do that. It's one of my favorite songs on the album because I haven't done it. People get to hear me rap over something different. I never did it so I was like, 'Yo, I like hip-hop.' I wish I could've done more on the album. I put one song on there."

The song samples the Toots and the Maytals song "Just Like That," which was the title track of the Jamaican Reggae group's 1980 album.

In the song, Lavigne explains that she just had a fight with a guy and they are at a point where the relationship can go one of 2 ways: either they make it through or they end it. She is hoping they stay together - "I don't want to fall to pieces." The overall tone of the song is sad and wistful, with no resolution about the relationship.

Longtime producer Dann Huff had been in charge of the previous five Keith Urban albums, but the singer used ten separate producers to create the sounds on Fuse, including Butch Walker (Fall Out Boy, Weezer) on this track.

The song was a turning point in Fuse's trajectory. Urban had felt something in the song's energy that reminded him of Fall Out Boy's 2013 single "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)," so he brought the demo to the band's producer, Butch Walker. "I remember sitting in Butch's studio," said Urban, "and listening to what he did and thinking, 'we might have gone a little too far off the rails with this one.' but then I realized that this is probably where the expansion of the new sound begins. This is it, this is where we push out from where we used to be and go somewhere different."

Urban said to Rolling Stone of this uncharacteristically abrasive track: "It's sort of industrial-punk-ish, relative to what I do. Not like anything I've done before."

This country ballad took 30 weeks to reach the US Top 10, which is a record. Lonestar were also the first country act to reach #1 on the Hot 100 since "Islands in the Stream" by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton in 1983.

In the UK despite reaching only #21, it sold over 180,000 copies during its chart run, a large amount for a song that didn't reach the top 20.

According to PRS For Music, the UK music royalties collecting service, this ballad is the most popular song choice for UK newlyweds' first dances. The 2009 survey was conducted by asking 2,000 wedding videographers, which were the most requested first songs at the weddings they attended. In second place came Aerosmith's "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing", followed by the number three choice, Shania Twain's "From This Moment On."

Three Nashville songwriters teamed up to write this song, and it was by far the biggest hit for each. Two of the writers, Chris Lindsey and Aimee Mayo, are a married couple, and the third, Marv Green, is their friend and songwriting partner. When they wrote the song, Lindsey and Mayo were in the process of falling in love, and drew upon their burgeoning romance for inspiration. "Our feelings for each other just started coming out as we were writing," Mayo said. The song was the first Country #1 for the couple; Lindsey also co-wrote Lonestar's next single (also a Country #1), "Smile."

When we spoke with Lonestar lead singer Richie McDonald in 2013, he said that he still loves performing the song. "Artists wait for a song like that to come along that can take their career to another level, and that song did that for Lonestar, and that's something that we'll never forget," he said. "And it's not just the impact that it had on our careers, but the impact that it has on the fans. I mean, 10 years later it still has the same effect. That song to me is just a classic, timeless song. And it is that song that took Lonestar to another level. We will never, ever get tired of playing that song, just because we still have fans come up to us night after night saying that's the song they got married to, the song they use on their anniversary. That's what music is supposed to be about: if you can get in touch with people's emotions, you can become a part of their story, as well. We've made an impact on people's lives and that means more than anything to us."

With so many people using this song at weddings and other special occasions, Lonestar sometimes feels a bit of pressure when performing it, as there are so many special memories associated with it. "I have a friend who's a DJ and he says he plays it at every single wedding that he performs at," Richie McDonald told us. "The problem is that sometimes you try to recreate that, but you can't recreate that. You've just got to go in; it kind of sets the bar awful high."

Don't Matter

This energetic track was one of the last songs laid down for Mechanical Bull and was written and recorded in less than two hours. Drummer Nathan Followill told Jam! Music : "We took a page from Queens of the Stone Age's book and from beginning to end kept a beat that was pulsating. It was one of those things where it was over before it even began. We were like, 'Holy s---! That's a kick ass song but that's a single-worthy song!' That's one that literally developed out of thin air."

Guitarist Matthew Followill described this Punk powerhouse song of self-loathing to Reuters as, "the hardest rocking song that we've ever done, and it's the fastest, so that's new for us."

Vocalist Caleb Followill recalled to Billboard magazine that the band penned this after realizing that they needed a rocker. "We've got a lot of mid-tempos, but we needed something that rocks really good," he said. "Me and Matthew sat there and came up with a riff in about 15 minutes, and I just went in there and just sang it off the top of my head. Family Tree

Frontman Caleb Followill explained the song's meaning to The Sun: "While you'd expect the track 'Family Tree' to be about family, it's a song I wrote about a lot of stereotypes about the South," he said. "It's got humor in there, I hope. Even with my personal stuff I try to have fun – the hook of the chorus to that song is a joke."

The hip-shaking boogie shuffle has a louder, looser feel than most of the tracks on Kings of Leon's previous Only By The Night and Come Around Sundown sets. Drummer Nathan Followill told Rolling Stone: "'Family Tree' is a song that sounds like we picked up our instruments and went with a groove, and that's pretty much exactly how it happened. That song embodies the headspace we had going into that record."

Lead guitarist Matthew Followill told Billboard magazine that this is a weird song for him to play. He explained: "It's so rhythm heavy that there's not a lot of space for anything else, everything's covered. There's nothing I can do that sounds cool, it sounds cool just being like it is, with just the bass and the drums it sounds great. So I didn't write any big parts for that, a lot of it is kind of noodling."

The third single from Lorde's debut album, Pure Heroine, finds the teenage singer touching on disconnection with modern pop music and the difference between on-screen portrayals and reality over a clap-along synth-heavy beat. She told Billboard magazine: There are a few lines which are kind of me being the 'realistic' pop star: 'We live in cities you'll never see on-screen,' which is like, no one comes to New Zealand, no one knows anything about New Zealand, and here I am, trying to grow up and become a person. I've been countering that with going to New York and seeing this place that's in every movie and every TV show. Part of me wanted to go back to writing for me and for my friends, and write something that I felt related to us a little bit."

Lorde told The Fader there are two lines on the song that are particularly important to her. She said: "One of them was: 'We live in cities you'll never see onscreen.' Because I like in Auckland, which is definitely not New York. It just felt important for me to be speaking for the minority. Coming from a small city, somewhere that feels unimportant, you just wanna get out of there. You're whole teenage life The other line is: 'I'm kind of over getting told to throw my hands up in the air.' Because, there's been so much of that in pop music, and I'm like, this is the stupidest thing. Being told to put your hands in the air? That's the last thing I wanna do right now. I just wanted to be a bit more realistic. I don't if that's relating to young people in general, or just people who listen to pop."

This along with all the other Pure Heroine tracks was penned by Lorde with producer Joel Little and recorded with him at Golden Age Studios in Auckland. Little recalled to Billboard magazine: "'Team' was a beat that I had floating around. I thought I'd be able to do something cool with it, but every time I started playing around with it, it didn't feel quite right. I was at home and I did a melody for the intro section, where it's just a double a cappella of her voice. It popped into my head and I was like, 'I can do something where it starts off super slow and dark and it's just her. If we can find a way to loop he last little bit and speed it up, then it will be a bit of a twist.' So I went into the studio with that idea, had her put the lyrics together for that intro, and it went from there. I'm proud of that song; it's a good one."

The song's music video was filmed in an abandoned building called the Red Hook Grain Terminal, in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook. The clip was directed by Young Replicant (The xx) and features a society of acne-faced misfit teenagers, headed by Lorde. "It was important to me that we cast real people with real faces. [H]olla acne!," the singer said. "This video was borne from a dream I had a few months ago about teenagers in their own world, a world with hierarchies and initiations, where the boy who was second in command had acne on his face, and so did the girl who was queen. I dreamt about this world being so different to anything anyone had ever seen, a dark world full of tropical plants and ruins and sweat. And of this world, I dreamt about tests that didn't need to be passed in order to be allowed in: sometimes the person who loses is stronger."

Like her hit "Royals," and many of her other tracks, this song uses a cold open, with Lorde singing right off the top. "Team" ends just as abruptly, with the song closing out all at once when she sings the last line, "And you know." This start-with-the-vocal approach was common in Punk Rock (listen to the Ramones for examples), but generally goes against convention, since musical intros can help ease the listener into the song and also give disc jockeys room to talk them up.

Like "Royals," this song relies on a simple percussion, this time with hand claps instead of snaps.

Most hit songs get to the chorus within the first 45 seconds, but this one waits a while. It's not until 1:05 that we hear the first chorus - about a third of the way into the song.

Johnson: "That's one I wrote while I was surfing. I was out longboarding in California. The sun had just set and the moon was rising so it was real nice. It was also summertime and warm, so I could stay out and surf for a while. I was alone, it was really calm and the wind was dead and it was a real magical night. The wind was nonexistent so you could hear things from really far away. And I could hear these kids who were laughing and skipping rocks on the beach. All their dads were there and it was kind of like dads' night out camping with the kids on the beach. The were all sitting around this little campfire and the kids were playing.
