Kiss Kiss Kiss Lyrics

Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss me love
Just one kiss, kiss will do
Kiss, kiss kiss, kiss me love
Just one kiss, kiss will do

Why death?
Why life?
Warm hearts
Cold darts

Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss me love
I'm bleeding inside

It's a long, long story to tell
And I can only show you my hell

Touch, touch, touch, touch me love
Just one touch, touch will do
Touch, touch, touch, touch me love
Just one touch, touch will do

Why me?
Why you?
Broken mirror
White terror

Touch, touch, touch, touch me love
I'm shaking inside
It's that faint, faint sound of the childhood bell
Ringing in my soul

Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss me love
Just one kiss, kiss will do

Kiss Kiss Kiss
  • This Disco and New Wave-influenced song was originally released on Double Fantasy, Yoko Ono's joint album with John Lennon, as well as the B-side of his "(Just Like) Starting Over" single. The track was remixed in 2002 by Superchumbo and released as a single, reaching #20 on the US dance charts.
  • The song features Ono gasping heavily. Yoko explained to us that the song was created when she was withdrawing from a bad drug and kept breathing in pain. "All that time," Yoko said, "I realized that there was a crack in my beautiful art deco mirror. At the recording studio, I sung in total darkness, which gave the right mood to it."

    Lived a Lie Lyrics

    Well somebody told me
That I would be a dreamer for life
Somebody told me I would never reach the other side
Well you seemed old news, crossed your fingers
    I'm yours to lose
What if I told you, that things will never improve

And if I Lived a Lie
Would someone meet me on the other side
So I can burn up bright,
(so I can burn, so I can burn)

    The grass is always greener,
Someone else's past is always cleaner,
But I'm a believer, but there's a fool in all of us

And if I lived a lie
Would someone meet me on the other side
So I can burn up bright

Oh, I don't really know where I just go
No, I don't really know where I just go so
Lived a lie just tonight, tonight

We are believers, we are believers [x7]
    We are, we are.

    If I lived a lie
Would someone meet me on the other side
So I can burn up bright

And if a lived a lie
Would someone meet me on the other side
So I can burn up bright

Oh, I don't really know where I just go
No, I don't really know where I just go so
Lived a lie just tonight, tonight
    And burn up bright.

    Lived a Lie
  • This is the first cut to be lifted from You Me At Six's fourth studio album, Cavalier Youth. It was the British band's first release following their new album deal with BMG.

You Me At Six worked on the song in Los Angeles with Neal Avron, who has worked with notable artists such as All Time Low, Forever the Sickest Kids and Yellowcard. The song was premiered on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show September 2, 2013.
  • Speaking with Kerrang! Magazine, vocalist Josh Franceschi explained the background to the song and why they incorporated marching band style drumming and gang vocals. "Through the last six years there would always be people who said, 'Oh I don't think you can do that.' But we always believed in ourselves even if nobody else did," he said. "Marching goes hand in hand with showing unity and 'we are believers' was a line that really needed to be exaggerated for people to get the point. Five people against the world – as corny as that sounds."
  • The song features on the soundtrack for the FIFA 14 computer game.
  • Francheschi explained to Kerrang! how the song came together: "We were listening to a lot of pop music," he said, "so we were like, 'We've got to make a big hooky chorus, without it being lame.' Matt (Barnes, bass) said, 'I'm not going to play for the whole first verse,' so, when the bass comes in, it sounds really big."
  • Franchesci told Kerrang! the lyrics are about being in You Me at Six. "At that time, everything was great in our little bubble," he said. "Then as soon as we went out of that bubble, we were like, 'What the f--- are we going to do?' It's about how, in music and life, you only really need to believe in yourself."
  • You Me at Six scored their first UK #1 album when Cavalier Youth topped the chart in its debut week.

    The Fox Lyrics

    Dog goes "woof"
    Cat goes "meow"
    Bird goes "tweet"
    And mouse goes "squeek"
    Cow goes "moo"
    Frog goes "croak"
    And the elephant goes "toot"
    Ducks say "quack"
    And fish go "blub"
And the seal goes "ow ow ow"

    But there's one sound
    That no one knows
    What does The Fox say?

    "Ring-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
    Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!
    Gering-ding-ding-ding-dingeringeding!"
    What the fox say?

    "Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!
    Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!
    Wa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pow!"
    What the fox say?

    "Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!
    Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!
    Hatee-hatee-hatee-ho!"
    What the fox say?

    "Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff!
    Tchoff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff!
    Joff-tchoff-tchoffo-tchoffo-tchoff!"
    What the fox say?

    Big blue eyes
    Pointy nose
    Chasing mice
    And digging holes
    Tiny paws
    Up the hill
    Suddenly you're standing still

    Your fur is red
    So beautiful
    Like an angel in disguise
    But if you meet
    A friendly horse
    Will you communicate by
    Mo-o-o-o-orse?
    Mo-o-o-o-orse?
    Mo-o-o-o-orse?
How will you speak to that
    Ho-o-o-o-orse?
    Ho-o-o-o-orse?
    Ho-o-o-o-orse?

    What does the fox say?

    "Jacha-chacha-chacha-chow!
    Chacha-chacha-chacha-chow!
    Chacha-chacha-chacha-chow!"
    What the fox say?

    "Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow!
    Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow!
    Fraka-kaka-kaka-kaka-kow!"
    What the fox say?

    "A-hee-ahee ha-hee!
    A-hee-ahee ha-hee!
    A-hee-ahee ha-hee!"
    What the fox say?

    "A-oo-oo-oo-ooo!
    Woo-oo-oo-ooo!"
    What does the fox say?

    The secret of the fox
    Ancient mystery
    Somewhere deep in the woods
    I know you're hiding
    What is your sound?
    Will we ever know?
    Will always be a mystery
    What do you say?

    You're my guardian angel
    Hiding in the woods
    What is your sound?
    (Wa-wa-way-do, wub-wid-bid-dum-way-do, wa-wa-way-do)
    Will we ever know? (Bay-budabud-dum-bam)
I want to (Mama-dum-day-do) I want to, I want to know!

    The Fox
  • Ylvis are a Norwegian comedy duo comprising the brothers Vegard and BÃ¥rd YlvisÃ¥ker. They recorded this EDM parody and its accompanying video to promote the season's première of their late-night TV talk show, I kveld med YLVIS (Tonight with Ylvis) on TV Norge. The visual quickly went viral after they uploaded it onto YouTube.
  • The song asks the question: What sound does a fox make? It was produced by Norwegian producers Stargate, the team behind Rihanna's "Diamonds" and Katy Perry's "Firework." BÃ¥rd described the writing process to Billboard magazine: "The way we work is we just sit around and talk about things and get ideas and take some notes," he said. "I guess we must have been talking about what sound a fox makes. And then we had a chance to work with Stargate, a production company in New York City...We actually did a favour for them and we asked them if they could produce a song for the new season in exchange."
  • This was the highest-charting song in the US by Norwegians on the Billboard Hot 100 since a-ha went to #1 with "Take On Me" in 1985.
  • Tor Erik Hermansen and his Stargate partner Mikkel Storleer Eriksen didn't compose the song's instrumentation specifically for Ylvis. Hermansen recalled to Spin: "We'd already been working on some beats and sent them a couple of options. They picked one or two that they liked. They came into the studio with the lyrics, and the fox sounds. We said, 'Are you sure this is what you want to do with it?' They said, 'Yep.' And we said okay and did it."
  • Stargate gave the backing track to Ylvis as a present after the Norwegian comedy team made a mockumentary video for them for Mikkel Storleer Eriksen's 40th birthday.
  • The clip was named as YouTube's Top Tending video of 2013. Runner-up was a military version of "Harlem Shake" whilst in third place was the slapstick visual, How Animals Eat Their Food, in which two men re-enact the eating habits of lizards and kangaroos.
  • A children's book based on the song titled What Does the Fox Say? was released in December 2013. The Simon & Schuster-published tome, which includes illustrations from Norwegian artist Svein Nyuhus, debuted at #1 on The New York Times Best Sellers List for Children's Books.

Nobody Sees Me Like You Do Lyrics

I see your face looking into the space,
    All tired and worried.
Why does it have to be like this, you and I,
I wanted us to be happy.

No one can see me like you do.
No one can see you like I do.

I see your face with a trace of life,
Being a wife and a woman.
If I ever hurt you, please, remember,
I wanted you to be happy.

Is there anything I want more,
More than your trust and understanding?

No one can see me like you do.
No one can see you like I do.

    I wanna quit moving,
    I wanna quit running,
I wanna relax and be tender.
I wanna see us together again,
Rocking away in our walnut chairs.

Even with your warmth and closeness,
The feeling of loneliness hangs over like a curse.

No one can see me like you do.
No one can see you like I do.

Even with our dreams and yearnings,
The feeling of loneliness hangs over like a thirst.

No one can see me like you do.
No one can see you like I do.

No one can see me like you do.
No one can see you like I do.

I Don't Know How To Love Him Lyrics

I Don't Know How To Love Him.
What to do, how to move him.
I've been changed, yes really changed.
In these past few days, when I've seen myself,

    I seem like someone else.
I don't know how to take this.
I don't see why he moves me.
    He's a man. He's just a man.

And I've had so many men before,
    In very many ways,
    He's just one more.
    Should I bring him down?

    Should I scream and shout?
    Should I speak of love,
    Let my feelings out?
I never thought I'd come to this.

    What's it all about?
Don't you think it's rather funny,
I should be in this position.
I'm the one who's always been

So calm, so cool, no lover's fool,
    Running every show.
    He scares me so.
I never thought I'd come to this.

    What's it all about?
Yet, if he said he loved me,
I'd be lost. I'd be frightened.
    I couldn't cope, just couldn't cope.

I'd turn my head. I'd back away.
    I wouldn't want to know.
    He scares me so.
    I want him so.

    I love him so.

    My Hitta
  • After LA-based rapper YG announced that his debut album would be executive produced by Young Jeezy, the pair begun frequently collaborating. The fruits of their labors included this ode to love and loyalty, which was initially released as a track on a EP released by the Atlanta rapper's label, CTE World, #It'sThaWorld. The song was then included on the first official CTE World mixtape, Boss Yo Life Up Gang. Released as the record's lead single, it became YG's first Hot 100 Top 40 hit.
  • The song is actually titled "My Ni-ga," with the edited version being called "My Hitta."
  • This banger also features a verse by Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, who also performs the hook. It was recorded around the time he was breaking with the street anthem "Type Of Way."
  • The beat was supplied by DJ Mustard. The Californian producer is YG's DJ, and his other credits include the hit singles Tyga's "Rack City" and 2 Chainz's "I'm Different."
  • DJ Mustard was born Dijon McFarlane. The producer admitted during an interview that he doesn't like the yellow condiment. "I don't even eat mustard," he said. "That s--t is nasty."
  • YG recruited an all-star cast on the song's remix, grabbing verses from Lil Wayne, Rich Homie Quan, Meek Mill, and Nicki Minaj.
  • The song was also included on YG's debut album, My Krazy Life. The record was originally titled I'm 4rm Bompton - the replacement of the "C" in Compton with a "B," is a common switch among Bloods gang members. YG changed the disc's name to My Krazy Life on the advice of Young Jeezy. "He said, 'If you come out with an album (called) 'I'm 4rm Bompton,' you'll only be (catering) to a certain crowd of people,'" the Compton rapper told USA Today.
  • YG did the song in one take at Quad Studios. He knew it was going to be a street anthem as soon as Rich Homie Quan got done with the hook. He told The Boombox : "We put it out and it started doing what we thought it was gonna do, but then the DJs started playing it on the radio and making their own clean versions and everybody was calling in like, 'Ay, this the s–t!' So we're like damn, how the f--k we gonna clean this song up?

"It took us like three weeks to figure out the clean. That was a little cold ass situation."

All the kids are throwing sticks

    Nights on the wire
    Everybody wants to get by
'Ts a test of the times
    A test of my rights
    It's on pretty lady

    Born to be angry
    Grip of the vice
    Click on the trigger, girl
    Sip wine on ice

    It's About Time
    Best to rewind
    You better blow
    Pistols, pistols, pistols

    Lights low
    Go on baby go
    It's a bad time
    I'm on a tight rope

    Don't go oh go
It's about time, it's about time

    Everybody come on
    Lights on the beaches
    Everybody come on, delight

    Close the front door
    I don't wanna go
Like I'm on the Truman Show

    Best to let go
    You don't wanna know
    You better blow

    Pistols, pistols, pistols
    Lights low
    Go on baby go
    It's a bad time
    I'm on a tight rope

    Don't go oh go!
    It's about time, it's about

    All the years of paradise
    Paradigms
    Paralyze us
    You're crazy

    All the cards you've organized
Shuffled twice in front of my eyes
    Everybody has
    Needs, wants, a cold gun

    Lights low
    Go on baby go
    It's a bad time
    I'm on a tight rope

    It's About Time
  • The first single from Young The Giant's Mind Over Matter album is a harder-edged alternative sound than any of the band's previous material. Frontman Sameer Gadhia told MTV News it's the most aggressive track on the record both lyrically and thematically. "Sonically, we wanted to take a really contemporary spin on maybe an older rock song," he said, "We just wanted to change things up a little bit and do something a little bit different."

"That song, in particular, I think is really a symbolic idea of how people use power," guitarist Eric Cannata added. "The album touches on a lot of these different themes about times when you can't block out this pressure that you're feeling inside and the times that you kind of break free from that pressure and are able to do limitless things and express yourself in limitless ways."

This here's a tale for all the fellas
Tryin' to do what those ladies tell us
Get shot down cause ya over-zealous
Play hard to get females get jealous
Okay smarty go to a party
Girls are scantily clad and showin' body
A chick walks by you wish you could sex her
But you're standing on the wall like you was Poindexter
Next days function high class luncheon
Food is served and you're stone-cold munchin'
Music comes on people start to dance
But then you ate so much you nearly split your pants
A girl starts walking guys start gawking
Sits down next to you and starts talking
Says she wants to dance cause she likes to groove
So come on fatso and just Bust A Move

    Just bust a move

You're on a mission and your wishin'
Someone could cure your lonely condition
Lookin' for love in all the wrong places
No fine girls just ugly faces
    From frustration first inclination
Is to become a monk and leave the situation
But every dark tunnel has a light of hope
So don't hang yourself, with a celibate rope
Your movie's showin', so you're goin'
Could care less about the five you're blowin'
Theater gets dark just to start the show
Then ya spot a fine woman sittin' in your row
She's dressed in yellow, she says "Hello,
come sit next to me you fine fellow."
You run over there without a second to lose
And what comes next hey bust a move

You want it, you got it,
You want it, baby you got it (Just bust a move)
You want it, you got it,
You want it, baby you got it

In this city ladies look pretty
Guys tell jokes so they can seem witty
Tell a funny joke just to get some play
Then you try to make a move and she says, "No way"
    Girls are fakin' goodness sakin'
They want the man who brings home the bacon
Got no money and you got no car
Then you got no women and there you are
    Some girls are sadistic, materialistic
Lookin' for a man makes them opportunistic
They're lyin' on a beach perpetrating a tan
So a brother with the money can be their man
So on the beach you're strollin' real high rollin'
Everything you have is yours and not stolen
A girl runs up with somethin' to prove
So don't just stand there bust a move

If you want it, you got it
You want it, baby you got it (Just bust a move)
You want it, you got it,
You want it, baby you got it (Break it down for me fellas)

Your best friend Harry has a brother Larry
In five days from now he's gonna marry
He's hopin' you can make it there if you can
'Cause in the ceremony you'll be the best man
You say neat-o, check your libido
And roll to the church in your new tuxedo
The bride walks down just to start the wedding
And there's one more girl you won't be getting
So you start thinkin' then you start blinking
The bridesmaid looks and thinks that you're winking
She thinks your kinda cute so she winks back
And now your feelin' really firm 'cause the girl is stacked
    Reception's jumpin' bass is pumpin'
You look at the girl and your heart starts thumpin'
Says she wants to dance to a different groove
Now you know what to do G bust a move

If you want it, you got it
You want it, baby you got it (Just bust a move)
You want it, you got it,
You want it, baby you got it (Break it down for me fellas)

    Bust A Move
  • We can thank Young MC for popularizing the phrase "Bust A Move," which means to take action of some kind. The song follows a guy who seems hapless with women, but somehow keeps getting lucky. In the first first, he busts a move by dancing with a girl who shows interest. Later, he considers becoming a monk but meets a girl in a movie theater. At the end of the song, he's the best man at a wedding, and when a bridesmaid shows interest, he gets to bust a different kind of move when she wants to "dance to a different groove." It's all good fun, and it helped make rap music acceptable for a much wider audience.
  • Flea from The Red hot Chili Peppers played bass on this song and appeared in the video, but he didn't reap the rewards. He explained to Bass Player magazine: "I have a bitter taste in my mouth about that, because I feel as though I got ripped off. The bass line I wrote ended up being a major melody of the tune, and I felt I deserved songwriting credit and money because it was a #1 hit. They sold millions of records, and I got $200! Afterwards, my lawyer told them, 'You should throw down Flea some cash,' but the record company said, 'We told him exactly what to play.' No one was even in the room at the time but me and the engineer! It was ridiculous, but I learned from it."
  • Young MC's real name is Marvin Young. He wrote this and also composed Tone Loc's hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina."
  • This was Young MC's only big hit, although he did have another US Top 40 with "Principal's Office." He was one of the first to write catchy, fun rap songs that crossed over to the world of Pop. Young MC recalled to Rolling Stone: "People looked at rap and hard rock as the type of music that you slam your door after you argue with your parents, and bang your head in defiance. My record wasn't necessarily rebellious, but it was clever enough to grab in a decent segment of people that didn't listen to rap music."
  • This won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance. It was only the second year the category existed, and the next year it was eliminated to recognize Rap Solo and Rap Duo Or Group performances. The previous years' winner was DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince for "Parents Just Don't Understand."
  • The main sample in this song is a loop from a song called "Found A Child" by a Seattle Funk group called Ballin' Jack. Their song came out in 1970, and it's amazing that it took 19 years for a rapper to boost it - the 15 seconds of bass, drums and vocal stabs on the song makes a perfect foundation for a rap hit in an era when sampling was widespread.
  • Young MC performs this in the film Up In The Air, where George Clooney plays a guy who is constantly traveling. Clooney crashes a convention at the hotel where he's staying, and Young MC is the performer. These private functions are lucrative gigs for artists who have fallen out of the spotlight (and for some still in it), but they are rarely portrayed in movies.
  • A bunch of commercials have featured this song. Among them, a 2013 spot for Payday candy bars, an Old Navy commercial that same year ("Bust in to Old Navy's huge gift sale...") and a 2014 commercial for Southwest Airlines that shows a woman dancing to the song at a wedding.
  • In the 2016 episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Positive Negative Reaction," the characters Raj and Leonard sing this in karaoke. A tipsy Sheldon proclaims, "I'm being musically encouraged to bust a move. If I knew what that meant, I might just do it."

Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heroes saving life in the dark
    Climbing higher, through the fire
    Time was running out
Never knowing you weren't going to be coming down alive
But you still came back for me
You were strong and you Believed

Everything is going to be alright
Everything is going to be alright
Everything is going to be alright
    Be strong, believe
    (Be strong, believe)

Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day
Never fearing, only hearing voices calling out
Let it all go, the life that you know
Just to bring them down alive
And you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed

Everything is going to be alright
Everything is going to be alright
Everything is going to be alright
    Be strong, believe

Want to hold my wife when I get home
Want to tell my kids they'll never know
How much I love to see them smile
Want to make a change right here, right now
Want to live a life like you somehow

    Believe
  • At first it was believed this was a song dedicated to a fireman who saved the lead singer from a burning house, and in doing so lost his life. However it is simply a song to all the fireman who died during the September 11 terrorist attacks. It's written from the point of view of someone who was in one of the Twin Towers as it was burning down and was rescued by a fireman who died when he went back in to help more people.

    Date with the Night
  • This ferocious track was released as the first single from Yeah Yeah Yeah's debut album, Fever To Tell. It became the band's first Top 20 hit in the UK, where it peaked at #16.
  • Singer Karen O recorded her trademark feline yelps and banshee wails twice on this and the other Fever to Tell tracks. She told NME: "We did all the tracks twice once with me totally wasted and then again with me sober. Then used whatever worked best."
  • The video was directed by Patrick Daughters, who is best known for his Grammy-nominated visual for Feist's "1234." Much of it was recorded at Bristol University Union's Anson Rooms on March 1, 2003 but there also scenes shot at other venues during the same UK tour, including The Zodiac in Oxford.

I asked my love to give me shelter
And all she offered me were dreams
Of all the moments spent together
That move like never ending streams.

    Run to the light
    Everything is alright
Run thro' the light of day
You run to the light of night

    And every movement made together
Till every thought was just the same
And all the pieces fit forever
    In the game.

    Welcome to the light

Run thro' the light of night
You run to the light of day.

    Run Through The Light
  • This is based on the demo "Dancing Through The Light" that was recorded with Jon Anderson during the aborted Paris recording sessions of 1978 following the Tormato album.
  • This is the only Yes song with bass guitar on it that was not played by Chris Squire . Trevor Horn played the bass and Squire played piano.
  • The single edit of this song almost completely removed Steve Howe's guitar work except for the underlying acoustic part.

    Fresh Start Fever Lyrics

Everybody loves the original, everybody's got time to be cynical
Old enough to know better by now
It’s the greatest joke don’t go letting me down
Hold my drink, this just got physical
I’m on a new wave it’s getting visceral
Going toe to toe to see how you go
I’m in pain say yes this is painful

    Oh heart of mine
Sing a sad song sing a sad song
    Warning you
    Oh heart of mine
    Sing a sad song

And it’s a Fresh Start Fever
Who wouldn’t want to be here?
    Welcome to the future
    Dream a little bigger

Cause for now I reserve judgments
Until these chains, chains are redundant
The brave die young and that’s all right
For some but I'm after something long term, long term
    Let’s make resolutions
I’ve only got problems and no solutions
You’re just some one to the world but
You’re the world to someone else who told you

    Oh heart of mine
Sing a sad song sing a sad song
    Warning you
    Oh heart of mine
    Sing a sad song

And it’s a fresh start fever
Who wouldn’t want to be here?
    Welcome to the future
    Dream a little bigger

And it’s a fresh start fever
    Fresh start fever
    Welcome to the future
Dream a little big dream a little bigger

You’re a hard act to follow
So I stare down this empty bottle
There is no message at the bottom so how do I solve it
I’m a hard act to follow
I know we sink so slo-o-ow
The shallow is as shallow does
Keep a track on all those scars

I said you’ve got a chip on your shoulder
    Getting worse now you’re older
It didn’t hurt, now your sober
It’s you life and now it’s over

And it’s a fresh start fever
Who wouldn’t want to be here?
    Welcome to the future
    Dream a little bigger

And it’s a fresh start fever
    Fresh start fever
    Welcome to the future

    Fresh Start Fever
  • This was the second single to be released from You Me At Six's fourth studio album, Cavalier Youth. Speaking with Kerrang! magazine, vocalist Josh Franceschi told the story of of this song. "When we started writing in the cottage we rented in Henley, Oxfordshire, we discussed how the album didn't yet have a song that represented what our band had been about until that point," he said. "We wanted to write a big pop-rock song, with exaggerated verses and a jump-up-and-down chorus."

"Neal (Avron, producer) brought all of his expertise of programmed drums and strings and horns, which gave the song a more layered texture," Franceschi added. "There is a group chant thing in the verse as well that was inspired more by hip-hop artists that we were listening to at the time."
  • This won Best Single at the 2014 Kerrang! Awards.
  • Franceschi told Kerrang!: "We wanted to start a new chapter. That's what this is about – moving forward."

    The Fish Lyrics

    The Fish
  • All five of the Yes band members contributed one track of their own design to this album. "The Fish" was created by Chris Squire using only the bass guitar. Steve Howe did "Mood For A Day" as a solo guitar piece. "Cans And Brahms" was not only arranged by Rick Wakeman, he played all the parts as well. Jon Anderson sang all the vocal parts in "We Have Heaven" himself. Bill Bruford created "Five Per Cent For Nothing," which was played by the entire group with percussion instruments. (thanks, Randy - Chicago Heights, IL)
  • The title comes from Chris Squire's nickname: he was dubbed "the fish" because of his tendency to take long baths. He also happens to be a Pisces.
  • The subtitle for this song is "Schindleria Praematurus," which is an obscure, neotenic marine fish from the Pacific ocean. "Neotenic" means the adult fish exhibits no adult characteristics, only juvenile characteristics. The story is that Chris Squire had the melody and wanted to sing the name of a fish that had eight syllables, and dispatched a roadie (Maybe Michael Tait) to find one. The best he could find had nine, which is why the last syllable kind of trails off.
  • This is an instrumental. The only lyrics (if you can call them that) are the repeated subtitle of the song - "Schindleria Praematurus, Schindleria Praematurus, Schindleria Praematurus." (thanks, Mike - Mountlake Terrace, WA, for above 2)
  • On the album, this segues directly from "Long Distance Runaround." Radio stations usually play the songs together.

  • Vocalist Josh Franceschi explained to Kerrang! magazine: "For me, burying the hatchet with people after there's been an issue has been something that I found difficult, and this song addresses that."
  • Rather than having an upbeat chorus the band slowed it down, made Chris Miller's guitar part very simple, and let the groove and the drums carry the chorus. Franceschi told Kerrang! that it's, "a sound we've never really created before."

It's about accepting things won't always go your way, and it's got a really grungy vibe."

"Whenever we came back off tour, we'd go to a bar and there'd be 20 or 30 of our mates. As you get older, your world gets smaller, and you long for those days, but you recognize there was an element of falseness to it. I got a lot of things off my chest here."

He added: "It's a love song about accepting your partner for who they are."
  • When Franceschi was laying down his vocals, producer Neal Avron (Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory) felt he wasn't chilled out enough, so the vocalist sarcastically offered to record them sitting outside. Avron took the bait and Franceschi recalled that he, "ended up sitting on a rocking chair in the garden, petting his dog and singing!"

The band's singer, Josh Franceschi, told Kerrang! magazine: "I did a lot of takes with 'Wild Ones' before everybody was happy with it. In the past, I'd write my lyrics, record them and say, 'right, finished.' It wasn't an open forum. This time we were a lot more open. We wanted the other guys to push us, and the lyrics you hear on this song were actually we recorded on my birthday. Who Do You Love
  • This DJ Mustard-produced track finds YG hooking up with Drake. Although they didn't link up in the studio, the "My Hitta" spitter and the Toronto MC had multiple conversations about the song. "I've been running into Drake for some years and every time I run into him he tells me that he likes what I do, and he wanna work [together], so the time came," said YG.

"I sent him a beat, he liked the beat, said 'this the one, I'ma hop on,' so he hopped on it and we're about to shoot that video too," he added. "We were going back and forth on the phone about the record, then he sent the verse back. That's how it goes most of the time nowadays because everybody be on the road doing their thing."
  • Drake's verse leaned on some lyrics from Bay Area spitter Rappin' 4-Tay's 1994 number "Playaz Club."

    Compare Drake's:

I got a shorty named Texas Sin
She got a buddy named Young JB and now you know the deal
We turnt up in the studio late night
That's why the songs that you hear comin' real tight.

    With 4-Tay's:

    I got a ho named Reel-to-Reel
She got a buddy named SP 12, now you know the deal
We gets freaky in the studio late night
That's why the beats that you hear are coming real tight.

Though it was obvious that Drake took his lyrics from "Playaz Club," the Toromto MC presented them as his own. 4-Tay eventually received $100,000 from Drake's record label, OVO Sound, after he questioned the similarities between the two sets of rhymes.
