So why did Wayne name drop Jay-Z? He explained to MTV News: "Hov is the god — I'll give Hov a big shout out at all times."

"But we was just on that D'usse heavy," Wayne added. "I don't write none of my music — I don't write it down, so I just go in there and say whatever come to my mind. So what came to my mind that night, was what was on my mind that night." (laughs)

Weezy spits further provocative lines on top of Lee Major's triumphant beat, including some rhymes where he references his time in jail for criminal possession for a weapon:

"I'm definitely not saying, 'We are winners!' It's almost a cliché; it's saying the journey is what counts," she said. "The lyrics are: 'May the road be long. Let something drag on. Cos it's feeling so nice.' And that's exactly how we're thinking about things right now."

You Won't Let Go

This song was co-written by Seth Moseley, the lead vocalist of Christian rock band Me in Motion. Moseley also co-penned another of Sovereign's tracks, "Miracle." Michael recalled to us : "We were working on another song called 'Miracle,' which is Cut No. 3 on the album. And just before I left, I said, 'Hey, you got anything? You're a writer. You got anything on your computer?' And he pulled up this track , which is 'You Won't Let Go,' and he did that melody and I sort of pulled this acoustic guitar off it, off his wall and Seth and just started writing this melody on the guitar over that track."

"And then I ended up writing the thing in 10 minutes or whatever, and I looked at him. I said, 'Bro'" I said, 'I think we have something here.'"

The lyrics were inspired by Romans 8 v 35, where the Apostle Paul writes:

"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Michael told us when he started to write the song with Seth, the only words he had was a bridge, ("nothing can separate us, nothing can separate us"). "I just knew that the song needed to be about that Romans passage in the scripture that said, Nothing can separate us from the love of God,'" he added. So the pair ended up writing the song around that scripture verse.

Michael writes most of his songs on the piano but in this instance he penned it on a guitar. He told us: "I actually like to write on the guitar. I'm not as versatile as I am on the piano, but sometimes having an instrument that you don't know all these chords, sometimes it sort of forces you to be simple and to not be so complicated. And it sort of throws me into another corner, which sometimes is not very comfortable."

To Sir With Love

This is the title song to the 1967 movie of the same name. Lulu was in the film with Sidney Poitier - she got the gig after director James Clavell saw her open a show for The Beach Boys. At first she had just a small role in the movie, but Clavell was so impressed with her that he expanded her role and had her sing the theme. The film stars Poitier as a high school teacher who has a big impact on his unruly students. Lulu plays one of his students, and sings this song to him at the end of the film as the students show their appreciation for the teacher.

Lulu is a charismatic Scottish singer known for her moving rendition of this song. She was born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Laurie (one source cites "Lawrie" as the spelling). She also sang the title song for the 1974 James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun. From 1969 to 1973, Lulu was married to pop star Maurice Gibb. This was Billboard's single of the year for 1967, having been #1 for five weeks in the USA. However in Lulu's native UK it was only ever a B-side to her #11 hit "Let's Pretend."

Don Black wrote the lyrics and Mark London composed the music. Black revealed to the Sunday Times August 10, 2008: "It's one of the very, very few songs that I've worked on where I've written the words first. Normally, I may give the composer a title or suggest a couple of lines, but I don't like to write the whole lyric first. If you write the lyric first, you tend to ramble. You want the structure there to work against it."

Lulu performed this song on The Ed Sullivan Show on October 22, 1967, which was the day after hit #1 in America.

The version used in the movie has three verses. For the single release, the third verse ("Those awkward years, have hurried by...") was edited out.

This was produced by Mickie Most, and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin fame was the musical director. At the time, Most was the, er, most successful producer in the UK, a consistent hitmaker whose CV includes "I'm Into Something Good" for Herman's Hermits and "Sunshine Superman" for Donovan. Most set up his own record company, RAK, in 1970, and signed Hot Chocolate, Suzie Quatro and Racey to the label.

This song comes from a personal place as Posner reflects on his career to date. "I think a lot of people [are] scared to tell the truth in songs," he told The Boombox . "Especially when it's something that's not … flattering about themselves. I was one of those artists when I first started. I would always pretend I was perfect. That s— is so corny. In this song, it seems that Fogelberg was coming to grips with the consequences and responsibilities of his new celebrity, while trying to maintain balance in love and life. It sounds like he was getting over a relationship:

Fogelberg's first hit single, this song is from his platinum-selling second album Souvenirs, which was produced by Joe Walsh. It was a vast departure from Fogelberg's first album (Home Free, 1972), which he recorded in Nashville with Norbert Putnam producing. With that album underperforming commercially, Fogelberg's record company teamed him with Walsh and they recorded the album in Los Angeles.

Paul McCartney cut this track with Giles Martin (son of Beatles producer George Martin) for his New album. The former Beatle recorded tracks for the record with several producers working in a number of locations ranging from New York to London's Abbey Road and his home studio in Sussex. After a while, he became concerned how the eclectic results would fit together. "I thought, 'Uh-oh, it's not a rock album, and it's not an acoustic album,'" he told Billboard magazine. "And then I thought back to the Beatles albums: There would be something like 'Why Don't We Do It In The Road?' right next to 'Blackbird' or 'Something' right next to 'She's So Heavy.' I mean, we really ran the changes! This has turned out a little bit like that. The continuing thing throughout that pulls it all together, I think, is the fact that it's me."

The song's music video is a collaboration with Newman, the robot, who was designed by Mervyn Millar and Ed Dimbleby for Significant Object Ltd. Speaking about Newman, McCartney said: "I woke up one morning with an image in my head of me standing with a large robot. I thought it might be something that could be used for the cover of my album New but instead the idea turned out to be for my music video for 'Appreciate.' Together with the people who had done the puppetry for the worldwide hit War Horse we developed the robot who became Newman."

This is a novelty song about the imaginary World War I antics of Charlie Brown's pet beagle in the comic strip Peanuts. It spawned three sequels: "The Return of the Red Baron," "Snoopy's Christmas," and "Snoopy for President." Of the three, "The Return of the Red Baron" is the only one that hit the Hot 100 (#15), but "Snoopy's Christmas" became a seasonal favorite. There really was a Red Baron. His name was Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen (Baron Von Richthofen), and just like the lyrics state, he had 80 confirmed kills as a fighter pilot in World War I. In the song, he meets his demise when Snoopy shoots him down in a dogfight, but in real life, he died when his plane crashed in France.

The German muttering as the beginning roughly translates to: "We will now sing together the song of a pig-headed dog, and our beloved Red Baron."

The band's singer Chris Nunley came up with this part and did the vocal. He was studying German in college at the time.

Like all of the band's Snoopy songs, this was written by their producer Phil Gernhard and Laurie Records staff songwriter Dick Holler.

Originally known as The Posmen, The Royal Guardsmen formed in Ocala, Florida, where they earned a deal with Laurie Records after developing a live following in the area.

The "Royal Guardsmen" name came from a model of amplifier made by Vox called the Royal Guardsman. They took the name because it sounded British, which gave them the illusion of being part of the British Invasion.

In 1975 Charles Schultz told author David Manning White, "We threatened to put a stop to (the record) until we were included in the success." The band never met Snoopy's creator, though Chris says, "We heard through our label (Laurie) and producer that Charles Schultz liked our songs."

This song went to #2 US the last week of 1966. It was held out of the top spot by The Monkees song "I'm A Believer."

The Royal Guardsmen didn't set out to become Snoopy troubadours. Their first single was "Baby Let's Wait" (written by Lori Burton and Pam Sawyer), but it went nowhere. When this song became an unexpected breakout hit, further Snoopy songs followed - made possible in part because while the Red Baron is shot down at the end of this song, we never see the crash.

The band did have some minor hits with non-Snoopy material. "Airplane Song (My Airplane)" (#46) and "Wednesday" (#97) charted in 1967. The following year, "I Say Love," written by band members Bill Taylor Barry Winslow, made #72. "Baby Let's Wait" became their last Hot 100 hit when it was re-released and made #35.

Lead vocals on this and the other Snoopy songs were done by Barry Winslow, who played guitar in the group. This put their singer Chris Nunley in the position of gamely acting out the songs ("look... up in the sky...") during performances. Winslow told us, "I really wanted to split the chores with Chris, but the
label said no."

This was a huge hit in Australia, where it went to #1 for five weeks in 1967. The last two weeks of that year, "Snoopy's Christmas" was the #1 song in that country.

The Royal Guardsmen reunited in 2005 to play some gigs. The following year, they released "Snoopy vs. Osama," which finds the cartoon beagle hunting down Osama bin Laden.

Barry Winslow became a Contemporary Christian artist, releasing an album called Transition in 2003.

In case they ran into copyright issues, the group recorded another version of this song called Squeaky vs. the Black Knight . It was never released, but promotional copies have appeared.
