This mid-tempo rocker finds Eddie Vedder wrestling with mortality as he reflects on, "what lies beyond the grave." It is one of several tracks on Lightning Bolt that finds the the Pearl Jam frontman thinking about the passing of life. Vedder explained to Billboard magazine that rather wanting to focus on mortality it was something he couldn't get away from. "It sounds so pedestrian and ridiculous but death is everywhere," he said. "Maybe just because I read the paper every day. Maybe it's war, maybe it's the epidemic rates of suicide in veterans coming back. I just can't seem to get around it. So I think part of it is not getting around it, it's getting through it. Songs end up being mantras that you end up playing for yourself as well."

Vedder, a serious surfer, wrote this one night when he had gone out on a paddleboard. "It was a full moon and it was the calmest I have ever seen the ocean," he remembered to The Sun. "I was somewhere very remote and it was midnight and I had to do something. I had to get on the water – so I did a two-hour paddle out to the waves."

"The waves break about three-quarters of a mile out," he continued, "and as you get closer they're really loud and huge. You couldn't see how big they were from the shore."

"It was such a tremendously intense experience," Vedder added. "Every nerve is up to your skin. Your senseless are so alive because you are by yourself and it's extremely beautiful and also a little bit dangerous."

He concluded: "That song came from that night and I do like that it has a build and then it clears out. There's momentum, it's almost like you're running through trails of trees and then it becomes an open field."

2 Chainz borrows the flow from Juvenile's 1998 Hip-Hop classic tune "Back That Thang Up" for this song. Drake previously interpolated some of the lyrics of Juvenile's explicit cut on his Take Care track "Practice."

"Back That Thang Up" was produced by former Cash Money in house producer Mannie Fresh and the veteran New Orleans native also supplied the beat for this song, which uses his home city's bounce music as its backbone.

2 Chainz traveled to New Orleans' 7th Ward section for the Marc Klasfeld directed video. The clip reunites the Hot Boys members Lil Wayne, Juvenile and Turk whom we see partying with the Big Easy locals. The only member missing from the hip hop group is B.G., who is serving a 14-year sentence for weapons possession, though his presence is felt with the "Free B.G." T-shirt that the Atlanta rhymer is wearing.

The Tourist

This is the last song on OK Computer, and it deals with a reckless driver. The first song on the album is "Airbag," so this serves as a warning of impending disaster.

According to Q magazine (April 2008) this was written by Jonny Greenwood in response to seeing a group of tourists dash through a town in France. It was intended to be a song about the "speed you live your life with." Yorke later added lyrics that he'd written on holiday in Prague.

Jonny Greenwood (from Humo magazine July 22, 1997): "That is MY song. I was surprised that the other four let me do it. 'The Tourist' doesn't sound like Radiohead at all. It's a song where there doesn't have to happen anything every three seconds. It has become a song with space."

Jonny Greenwood played the main melody on a Mellotron, a vintage keyboard that plays sounds recorded onto tape loops.

This is a song from the Country music singer and songwriter Chase Rice's Ready Set Roll EP. It was his first release after co-writing Florida Georgia Line's smash hit "Cruise," which brought him widespread acclaim in the Nashville songwriting scene.

Rice recalled to Billboard magazine: "We were going through the chorus, and trying to find something that hadn't been said before. Airbag

This song is about a car crash Thom Yorke was in with his girlfriend in 1987. She suffered whiplash, but he was fine. Says Yorke: "Has an airbag saved my life? Nah... but I tell you something, every time you have a near accident, instead of just sighing and carrying on, you should pull over, get out of the car and run down the street screaming 'I'm BACK! I'm ALIVE! My life has started again today!' In fact, you should do that every time you get out of a car. We're just riding on those things - we're not really in control of them."

Yorke: "So much of the public's perception revolves around illusion. That's what Airbag is about, the illusion of safety. In reality, airbags don't really work, and they go off at random."

Radiohead first began performing this song acoustic, and the working title was "An Airbag Saved My Life," which was a reference to Indeep's 1983 Dance hit "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life."

Guitarist Jonny Greenwood: "Airbag is a classic example of Colin and Phil saying, 'Let's make it sound like DJ Shadow.' But unfortunately - or fortunately - it doesn't, because we missed again. It's that thing of lumbering around in the dark, but still being excited by what we do. We're discovering these things for the first time rather than getting the pros in to show us how to do it."

This is the first song on the album OK Computer. The last song on the album, "The Tourist," is about reckless driving, which leads up to a car crash. Therefore, the album ends where it starts and makes a bizarre circle of death.

The original title of the song was "An airbag saved my life." During an XFM Acoustic Session in October, 1995, Thom Yorke said this was the title of an article in an AAA magazine that came through the post.

This was built around a looped 3-second sample of drummer Phil Selway, who cited instrumental hip hop producer DJ Shadow as an inspiration. Selway explained to Humo magazine July 22, 1997: "How that man pastes rhythms to each other. The end result sounds a lot different than we intended by the way."

Home For Grave

Lead vocalist Mike Hranica explained the story behind the song to Noisecreep : "'Home for Grave' is the most blatantly fictional song on the album in that the lyrics are about this little old man that basically just wants to do his best but he never amounts to anything and he ends up dying, life is pretty much summed up in total meaninglessness," he said. "That's the idea of the song and the misery the song looks to speak of within the context of 8:18 and an album that is primarily or entirely based off suffering. So yeah, lyrically the song just enraptures that or it looks at this man."

Hranica expanded the song into a 53-page book subtitled A (Somewhat Neverending) Short Story, which chronicles the unremarkable life of one Ian Mitchells. Hranica's fictional tale terms Mitchells' life an "unintentionally meaningless existence," but the singer told Billboard magazine that there's something to celebrate within that. "I adore monotony within fiction," he explained. "Anyone who reads 'Home For Grave' knows routine is the primary backbone of the story, and I just love writing about that routine. Someone like Jean Paul Sartre, he does that within his stories. I think it's very compelling, and I feel very drawn to it in my own writing, just exploring that routine."

Hranica preciously wrote One & A Half Hearts, which took its inspiration from the songs on the Devil Wears Prada's 2011 album Dead Throne.

Real & True

This song finds Future collaborating with the English singer-songwriter Mr. Hudson, who is best known for his contribution to Jay-Z's "Young Forever." Also on the track is Miley Cyrus, with whom The Astronaut Kid also worked on the Bangerz track "My Darlin'."

Miley Cyrus and Mr. Hudson sing to each other on the chorus over Mike WiLL Made It's production. Future explained during an appearance on MTV's RapFix Live that the English singer-songwriter sent him the hook ready for his raps. "I worked with Miley Cyrus when we were working on her project, for her album," he said. "I was doing some records in Vegas and Mr. Hudson sent a hook back he did on a Mike Will track. He played it for Miley and she wanted to be a part of it, so I'm putting the record on my album also."

The song was inspired by Future's relationship with his fiancée Ciara.

The futuristic video shows Future and Mr. Hudson on an interstellar mission who discover a seemingly lifeless Cyrus on a barren planet. The Astronaut Kid and Mi-Cy fall in love despite the Wrecking Ball singer revealing her true alien nature. "It's about somebody sacrificing their life for love," Future told MTV News of the clip. "It connected with me and my whole theme that I've been going with, as far as Pluto and my astronaut status, so I feel like I can close that chapter after this video and move on to something else."

The clip was directed by the English portrait and fashion photographer Rankin, who has also helmed music promos for Nelly Furtado ("Say It Right"), Kelis ("Acapella") and Rita Ora ("Facemelt.")

Future told Spin magazine that he's always been infatuated with space through music. "I guess that was the [way I got into it]," he explained "I use it for wordplay. I've been an astronaut kid — that was one of my alter egos. I felt like I made timeless music. It was something new — nobody really ever touched on space. It was something to keep the people interested, give the fans something new. [To] have the same wordplay, but be in space."

Spin magazine asked Future what it was about Mr. Hudson's hook that he connected with? The Atlanta rapper replied: "Just to remain true. Everybody can relate to being real or true. Somehow, someway, you want to be real and true. Even being in a relationship, or being out of a relationship, going through tough times with someone you're in a relationship with — all those things. Basically just capturing the moment where I'm at in my life right now. To express myself in a different way that I never have. To make it great for the fans and show growth."
