Apparently so, although when he introduced it at the S.P.A.C.E. music venue in Evanston, Illinois on June 3, 2012, Al said it was a one of only two happy songs he had ever written - which is surely an exaggeration. Rock songs are written in metaphors, he said, but this one is written entirely in similes.

Running to 3 minutes 47 seconds, the studio version is the 5^th track on his 1993 Famous Last Words album, and yes, Satchmo does get a brief mention towards the end. In a simile, of course.

The third song from the 2005 film The Producers is a duet between self-styled King of Broadway Max Bialystock and his accountant Leo Bloom. In the film version it begins in the office and finishes outside. In the London production at Theatre Royal Drury Lane it takes place entirely in his office. The programme gives the actual date as June 16, 1959, earlier than in the original 1968 film.

Max is played by Fred Applegate; Leo by John Gordon Sinclair. What is it they can do? His latest show having closed on its opening night, Max is told that it would be possible to make more money with a flop than with a hit; the song is about him attempting to persuade the accountant to help him set up such a scheme.

Like the rest of the songs in the show, "We Can Do It" was written by Mel Brooks.

There are some drug references in this song, such as "Eating breakfast on a mirror," which implies doing cocaine after waking up. The controlling girlfriend doesn't want the singer to do them, and he resists.

This is one of only two songs written by Mel Brooks for his 1968 film The Producers; the other is "Springtime For Hitler." Much later he would compose the entire score for the remake and stage musical.

"We're Prisoners Of Love" sees crooked producer Max Bialystock a prisoner of Uncle Sam. In the 2005 version, this song is called simply "We're Prisoners Of Love". The title is also that of a musical written in Sing Sing prison after Max is convicted of a financial scam - the theme of the film. Happily though, on account of writing this musical he is pardoned.

This song is about a guy (most likely a nerdy, self-conscious guy), who falls in love with a girl who works a few cubicles down from him in an office, but she leaves and his world falls apart. The whole CD has a lot to do with classic movie plots, with themes of vampires, zombies, office romance and lovers running from the law together.

This song is about rejection, but it's framed in the context of everyday office life. He writes love notes to a girl every day, but never has the nerve to give them to her, so tears them up and throws them out of the window. Then eventually, she switches jobs, and he says that whoever takes her place in her cubicle, it will only be a temporary stand in for her. And he starts to think that he's never going to meet anyone and he'll die alone. He Imagines things that they could have done together, that he knows that they will never do because he would never talk to her. It's about loving someone that you see regularly, but they don't even realize you exist.

Right There

This mid-tempo love song finds Ariana trading verses with G.O.O.D. Music MC Big Sean about their feelings on relationships. Whilst Grande croons more traditionally romantic sentiments Sean bigs up his attraction to females. "My black book of numbers thicker than the dictionary," he boasts. The track was made available as a free download for fans who pre-order Ariana's Yours Truly album.

Ariana told MTV News that she considers the song to be, "kind of like the sequel to 'The Way.'"

Ariana and Sean have been friends for a while, but she was waiting for the perfect tune to collaborate with the rapper. "We wanted to have writing sessions and, like, jam together but we never found the time and we never found the right song," she said. "We were talking about a few other songs together but it just never worked out and it never was the right moment and then finally 'Right There' came along. And we were like 'Oh this is it'."

Producer Harmony Samuels sampled the jazz funk loop from Lil Kim's hip-hop tune "Crush On You." The rapper's 1996 hit single interpolated The Jeff Lorber Fusion's "Rain Dance" from their 1979 album Water Sign.

The song's music video was directed by Nev Todorovic and produced by Allysa Pankiw of the Young Astronauts, the same pair that worked on Arina's "Almost Is Never Enough" clip. It is based on Baz Luhrmann's 1996 take on William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and focuses on the story's masquerade ball, where Grande's Juliet locks eyes with Romeo. The latter is played by American actor and son of Arnie, Patrick Schwarzenegger (Grown Ups 2), whilst Big Sean portrays "The Priest."

Todorovic told MTV News that the references to Baz Luhrmann's 1996 re-telling of the play was something that they hadn't originally intended on. "The religious symbolism and the costume party are all from the original Shakespearean play," he explained. "But as we were planning the shoot, and especially on set, we started seeing more of those similarities emerge. Like if you notice, we had an Astronaut in the masquerade ball and everyone is comparing it to Paul Rudd's character, but really it was an homage to our team The Young Astronauts!"

Adam "King Ad-rock" Horovitz talks about this song in the liner notes of the Beastie Boys anthology: "Sabotage was recorded as an instrumental, and the vocals weren't added until two weeks before the record was completed. It was the last song on Ill Communication to be finished."

The video, which was directed by Spike Jonze, was a parody of '70s cop shows such as CHiPs and Hawaii Five-0. It featured the 3 Beasties with shaggy hair and huge sunglasses, running around the city chasing a man with a briefcase and doing other cop stuff. The video won several MTV awards.

Adam "MCA" Yauch recalled to Q magazine April 2008 how the video came about: "Adam (Ad-Rock Horovitz) wanted us to do a photo shoot as undercover cops on a stake-out, sitting in a car, surrounded by coffee cups and doughnut wrappers. We mentioned it to Spike and he said, 'Let's do it'."

This song is played by a young James T. Kirk early on in the 2009 Star Trek movie, as he takes his stepfather's antique convertible out for a joyride in the Iowa countryside.

Babyshambles' bass guitarist Drew McConnell suffered horrendous injuries after being knocked off his bike by a car in East London, suffering multiple breaks to his spine and various bones. This collaboration with vocalist Peter Doherty was inspired by his slow, painful, but ultimately full recovery. He told NME: "This is about Peter coming to visit me after my car accident. One of my first memories was the paramedic telling me I'd broken my spine in three places. Then my next memory is on a slab with doctors all around me. And then the memory after that is waking up to somebody brushing the hair away from my eyes, and I looked up and it was Peter."

Eldredge explained to Radio.com how this ballad blends his love for Country and Soul music. "'One Mississippi' is definitely a song that brings in the whole love I have for soulful music combined with country," he said. "I heard Ronnie Dunn growing up, I heard Brooks & Dunn and I loved his soulful vibe that he had. I love how he ties that in with country music but with a very rural lyric."

This song is about (rather unsurprisingly) dancing with a lover. It is the title track to Let's Dance, which was produced by Nile Rodgers, who was responsible for the album's funky sound. Rodgers founded the disco band, Chic, and produced hits for Diana Ross, including "Upside Down" and "I'm Coming Out." He also produced Madonna's 1985 album Like a Virgin.

Stevie Ray Vaughan played lead guitar on this song. Bowie was impressed when he saw Vaughan perform at the Montreaux Jazz festival a year earlier. When Vaughan received the call from Bowie to play on the record, he was (although not literally) in the middle of recording his own album, Texas Flood.

This was Bowie's only transatlantic #1, a very upbeat song with mass appeal. He described it as "positive, emotional and uplifting." Said Bowie: "I tried to produce something that was warmer and more humanistic than anything I've done for a long time. Less emphasis on the nihilistic kind of statement."

The official video was directed by David Mallet. It was filmed in Australia and features an Aboriginal couple who are struggling against Western cultural imperialism. The video was described by Bowie as a "very simple, very direct" statement against racism.

According to Mallet, they shot the bar scenes in the morning, which didn't go over well with the locals, who didn't appreciate Bowie and fashionable crew. Some of the patrons also resented the Aborigines who starred in the clip, and mocked them with their own dance moves. Mallet shot this on film and edited it into the video - the white people dancing in the bar were actually making fun of the couple.

Red Shoes are a theme in the video and appear in the lyrics, "Put on your red shoes and dance the blues." This is a reference to the 1948 movie The Red Shoes, where a dancer performs in a ballet of that name. The idea is that the red shoes make you dance - it's based on a Hans Christian Andersen story of the same title. Kate Bush recorded a song about the same subject.

The tour to support this album was called the "Serious Moonlight Tour," named after a line in this song: "Under the moonlight, the serious moonlight."

Originally slated just for Europe, the tour was so successful that it was expanded to North America, Asia and Australia, often in large stadiums.

Smashing Pumpkins covered this song in 1998 along with Joy Division's "Transmission" during a 25 minute live jam.

Nile Rodgers said of this song in the 2013 film Davie Bowie: 5 Years in the Making of an Icon: "'Let's Dance' is not what I'd call a traditional dance record, but it's certainly a record that does make you want to dance. I thought to myself, 'Man, if I don't make a record that makes people want to dance, and we call the song Let's Dance, I'm going to have to trade in my black union card.'"

Gnarls Barkley are digitally inserted into this video during their own video for "Smiley Faces."

Nile Rodgers recalled to The Guardian May 18, 2012: "When Bowie and I got together to do Let's Dance, we spent two weeks researching music and styles and Bowie suddenly said: 'I got it!' He held up a Little Richard album cover where he's wearing a red suit, getting into a red Cadillac, with a pompadour haircut, and said: 'That's rock'n'roll.' After doing all that research with him, I got it too. I knew instantly what he wanted. We switched the suit for a yellow one when we released our record."

Speaking with the Daily Telegraph July 30, 2013, Nile Rodgers recalled Bowie unveiling this song to him. "He says, 'Nile, darling, I think this is a hit,' and he proceeds to play what sounds like a folk song to me, with a twelve-string guitar," recalled the producer. Unable to tell Bowie that what he was playing was not dance music, Rodgers wrote an entire arrangement, taking it in "a funky direction." Said Rodgers: "I was like the Terminator, I was unstoppable, I just wanted to make hits with David."

Bowie's brief cameo in the Ben Stiller film, Zoolander, is accompanied by this song.

The lead single from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack was recorded by the English band Coldplay. Their frontman, Chris Martin, is apparently a fan of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games novels, according to a press release for the song. "We are so honored that Coldplay, one of the iconic rock bands of our generation, will perform the first song out on the new soundtrack," said Tracy McKnight, Lionsgate's Head of Film Music. "Knowing that Chris Martin is a fan of the books makes this even more meaningful. The Coldplay single underscores the stature of recording artists we've assembled for this powerful soundtrack."

Director Francis Lawrence added: "I have great respect and admiration for Coldplay, and we are thrilled with how well they have connected to the themes and ideas within the film."

This marked the first time Coldplay has ever recorded an original song for a motion picture.

Chris Martin sings on this sweeping piano ballad about two people sharing the weight of the world on each other's shoulders in reference to the mutual dependance of the film's protagonists Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark.

The song's titular character, Atlas, was a Greek mythological figure, who according to legend, was condemned by Zeus for his part in the war of the Titans to bear the heavens on his shoulders. He went to live in the Atlas mountains in North Africa, which the Ancient Greeks said supported the sky.

Led Zeppelin also referenced the Greek Titan on their 1976 track "Achilles Last Stand." ("The mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the Earth.")
