This cut about an insecure girl trying to crack the password on the DJ's iPhone finds Eric Bellinger crooning the first two verses and the hook. Fabolous raps the third verse in which he prays she doesn't work out the four digits that make up the code.

There are 256 possible combinations to the iPhone password, so the chances are it will take Mustard's girl some time to crack the code.

The song is a track from Mustard's debut 10 Summers album, which he dropped for free on Google Play a fortnight before its official release on August 26, 2014. The title signifies the decade-long stretch of hits the Californian beatmeister has produced during the summer season.

Mustard's usual ratchet instrumentation features sparse basslines and finger-snap snares but his beat for this track has a more mellow groove. "I hear a lot of people saying my stuff sounds the same," he told Billboard magazine. "When you're in my position, people come to you to give them the same sound in a different type of way. And once they're happy with it and you're happy with it, there's another hit record. But this album is going to show people I can do whatever type of music."

Comeback Song Chart

This horn-led, feel-good cut about empowerment, independence and strength was released as the follow-up to Ella Eye's "If I Go" single. The song is based on a breakup the London soul songstress went through when she was 17, but written from the point of view of speaking to a troubled best friend. "We've all been played, we've all been hurt, just take the pain, let that motherf---er burn. you will find in time, that they always come back," she said.

"If 'If I Go' was about whether or not I should leave a relationship, then 'Comeback' is the aftermath," Eyre added. "There's no more vulnerability, it's a very defiant 'f--k you.'"

The song's music video was helmed by Los Angeles-based director Jon Jon Augustavo (Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop"). The clip finds Eyre trashing the house of a cheating ex-boyfriend.

Ella Eyre told Digital Spy she is reality friends with her exes. "I let them burn to a certain degree and then I put out the fire for a while," she said.

"I think that everyone has that moment, especially when they've been taken advantage of and they feel s--t that they have that anger period," the songstress added. "And I think that anger period is actually incredibly important because it helps people get over that initial pain and that hurt."

"A song like this for me makes me feel better about certain things, especially when I'm feeling down," Eyre continued. "It's definitely a motivational song and it goes down really, really well live."

Eyre recalled writing the song during Camp Bestival in 2015 at the Guardian Literary Institute. "I remember once, when I was in Sweden writing 'Comeback,' we couldn't get the chorus right so we went off and played tennis and came back," she said. "Then we got halfway through the chorus and then went off and had sushi and then finished it. It's all about making sure that you enjoy the writing process. I don't want to ever fall out of love with writing, so I want to make sure that I enjoy it at all times."

She went on to reveal how much she enjoyed composing the tune. "I think my favorite song to write was probably 'Comeback.' Not just because it's explicit but because I was having quite a hard time when I wrote it and it's one of those songs where I was fighting back and it made me feel better." She continued, "It's the kind of song you fight back and say 'nah I'm not going to take this' and hopefully people related to it in that sense. It was great to write because it was good to get off my chest."

When asked about whether she had to fight for the word "motherf--ker" to stay in the song, Eyre replied in her Guardian Literary Institute interview: "Yes and no, they battled against it because obviously it had to go on radio but I think anyone who heard the song knew that it was appropriate. Even my mum, who doesn't like me swearing."

Let's Live For Today Song Chart

This song embodies the Hippie ethos of seeking love, not money, and simply letting life unfold: "We'll take the most from living, have pleasure while we can." (thanks, Bertrand - Paris, France)

Like Laura Branigan's "Gloria," this is a re-worked version of an Italian pop song that became a hit stateside when it was recorded with English lyrics. Even more confusing, the original Italian song was written and recorded by a British band.

The Rokes were from England, but caught on in Italy, where they moved their operations. They began writing songs with Italian lyrics, including one called "Piangi Con Me," which translates to "Weep With Me." Written by band members David Shapiro and Ivan Mogul, the song was released in 1966 and became a hit in Italy. English lyrics were written by Michael Julien, a songwriter who worked at the group's publisher, and the song became "Let's Live For Today."

The Rokes released their English version in the UK, which was quickly followed by a cover by The Living Daylights. The Rokes version got the attention of the American label Dunhill Records, which had their act The Grass Roots record it. This became the American hit version of the song - most listeners had no idea it began as an Italian tune.

This Grass Roots were formed as a studio act by producers Steve Barri and P.F. Sloan . When their song "Where Were You When I Needed You" (with Sloan's vocal) got some attention, they turned the act into a real band, recruiting an LA group called The 13th Floor to become the Grass Roots. This incarnation left after the band's first album, and the producers pulled in another group: a San Francisco outfit called the Bedouins, featuring the lead singer Rob Grill.

This incarnation of the band recorded the Let's Live For Today album. Sloan left before it was released, but seven of the songs on the set (not this one) were ones he co-wrote with Barri. A new version of "Where Were You When I Needed You" was included on this album with Rob Grill singing lead. Grill quickly became one of the leaders in the group as they scored several more hits over the next few years.

The original Italian version is about a girl going through a rough time, with the singer offering comfort. The song's hook, however is universal: "Sha, la, la, la, la..." leading into the title. This is sung with a huge group chorus - a songwriting technique that would remain timeless. With these powerful dynamics, the song could have been in Swahili and still hit.

The "Sha-la-la" chorus is very similar to The Drifters' hit "I Count the Tears," which Doc Pomus (born Jerome Solon Felder) and Mort Shuman wrote. Pomus was upset about the obvious similarity, and even though lawyers called him to suggest that he should sue, he did not.

Geoffrey J. Felder, son of Doc Pomus, told us why his dad never took legal action: "The main reason was because he was not that kind of person. If you were a thief and stole from him, as long as he could still support himself and his family (and no one was physically injured of course) he would let it go. He felt that you'd get what you deserved in the end. The other reason was that at the time the song was released he was under contract with Hill & Range (later to become Warner/Chappell) and they would have had the authority to sue and not him."

Creed Bratton, who played the character named Creed on the American version of the TV series The Office, played guitar on this song and sang backup. He was a member of The Grass Roots during their classic period of 1967-1969.

Band member Warren Entner also played guitar and sang backup, and Rob Grill did the lead vocals. Two studio musicians contributed to the track: Hal Blaine played drums and Bobby Ray played bass. The album, which was issued a few months after the song was released as a single, was one of the first to credit the session musicians who performed on it. These studio pros - many of whom played on tracks by The Monkees, Sonny & Cher, The Righteous Brothers and many others - were typically uncredited so as not to take attention away from the artist.

This song marked a strange turn of events for group founder P.F. Sloan, who left before it was released. Sloan also released solo albums through Dunhill Records, but they never got much attention. The label was far more interested in his songwriting, and wanted to keep him behind the scenes. In order to step out on his own, he had to leave Dunhill and the Grass Roots behind. "The label didn't want me to be out on the road," Sloan said in our 2014 interview.

Sloan released a solo album in 1968 on the Atco label, but left the industry a few years later, leaving behind a string of hits that included "Secret Agent Man" and "Eve Of Destruction." The enigmatic songwriter appeared just sporadically over the next 50 years, but is hailed as a groundbreaking composer/producer of his generation.

The clip was written by the band and directed by Nick Peterson, who also helmed Five Finger Death Punch's visual for "Coming Down." "War is not pretty," guitarist Zoltan Bathory told Artist Direct explaining how the promo fits in with the song's lyrics about conflicted morality. "That's what happens. Even though these guys are doing a job and they're doing something for the greater good. As an individual in that situation, you don't know. You signed up. You're ready to lay down your life. You're ready to uphold the rules of engagement even though your enemy doesn't. It's a very difficult thing to go through."

"Nobody really understands the politics," he continued. "A lot of information is hidden from us. We know half-truths. What if you got the wrong half of the truth? Imagine a soldier in the situation. He signed up to defend his country and all it stands for. Now, he has to go do things beyond what a civilian could even fathom. 'The Wrong Side of Heaven' was that line. That's what the song talks about. He's thinking, 'Is it right or wrong? I'm doing what I have to do. This is my duty. I'd like to believe I'm sent here for the right reason.'"

Little Honda Song Chart

Looking into the origins on this song on Forgotten Hits , Artie Kornfeld recalls riding with Wilson on a 60 cc motorcycle that the Honda corporation gave him for writing this song. Wilson pushed it way too hard and wiped out, inspiring the bloody riders to compose the Jan & Dean hit "Dead Man's Curve."
"Little Honda" charted for the first time on September 12, 1964, while "Dead Man's Curve" made its debut on March 7, 1964. Investigating this discrepancy, Kornfeld contacted Wilson's mentor P.F. Sloan , who recalls Wilson writing the song for a Honda commercial.

This was originally recorded and released by The Beach Boys in 1964 on the album Four By The Beach Boys. As The Beach Boys were enjoying a #1 hit ("I Get Around") and had another song scheduled for release (#9 "When I Grow Up (to Be a Man"), producer Gary Usher assembled a studio group consisting of Brian Wilson, Kurt Boetcher, Glen Campbell, Chuck Girard, Joe Kelly, and Ritchie Burns to record this and an accompanying LP.

Background singer Ritchie Burns worked in a bank. He asked 3 of his co-workers to pose for the cover photo of the Hondells' LP. The group didn't actually exist until the single charted - then Burns toured with a Hondells group that he put together at the behest of Usher. (thanks, Brad Wind - Miami, FL, for above 2)

In 1966, The Beach Boys performed this song on The Andy Williams Show, but took out all references to "Honda," changing the song to "Little Cycle" so as not to provide a free advertisement. Williams sang with the group on the performance.

G.R.L are a girl group formed by Pussycat Dolls choreographer Robin Antin. This is the lead single from their debut self-titled EP.

G.R.L are signed to Kemosabe Records, so it's no surprise to find the label's founder, Dr. Luke, co-produced the song along with his frequent collaborator Cirkut.

The track is about a good-looking guy who treats his women in an ugly manner. "What we're saying to all the young girls - and even the young guys out there - is: You should have high standards," G.R.L's Simone Battle explained to Digital Spy . "Look for someone who is going to love, respect and cherish you. Not somebody who's just good looking."

G.R.L. founder member Simone Battle was found dead at her home in Los Angeles on September 5, 2014. Her death was ruled a suicide by hanging by Los Angeles authorities. Battle was recruited by Robin Antin to join the group after being a finalist on The X Factor USA in 2011.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do Song Chart

Although Sedaka had had eight Top-10 hits in the US to this point, this was his very first #1. Howie Greenfield penned the lyrics at Sedaka's urging, and then it was presented to Barry Mann (of Mann and Weil) for appraisal. Mann didn't think much of it, so Sedaka then added the opening "dooby-doo" part.

The 1975 re-release of this song at a slower tempo, on the album Hungry Years, was just an afterthought. But when it charted all over again at #8, that was his 18th Top 40 Billboard hit out of a career total of 21.

This song also charted for the Happenings (1968 #67 in US), Lenny Welch (1970 #34 in US) and the Partridge Family (1972 #28 in US and #3 in UK).

According to Sedaka, the song was inspired by the Showmen's song "It Will Stand."

One lucky shot that this song had was debuting on June 30th, 1962. This placed it in the perfect spot to start getting heavy airplay during the July 4th weekend, with vacationing teens at the parks and beaches requesting the song over and over again. Note to song promoters: Release your single right before a holiday weekend.

Shortly after this song came out, Sedaka married his longtime sweetheart Leba Strasberg. Now, the next part is unexpected enough that we have to cite Rich Podolsky's book Don Kirshner: The Man with the Golden Ear : When Neil proposed over the phone, Leba didn't believe him. So she asked him to put Howie Greenfield on the line. Howie came on and soberly advised her that Neil Sedaka was serious and that he really did want to marry her. They were married September 11, 1962. Around this time, Sedaka was second only to Elvis Presley in record sales.

Say You Love Me Song Chart

Jessie Ware wrote this song with Ed Sheeran in about 45 minutes in New York. The "The A Team" songwriter also plays guitar on the track. Ware told MTV UK, "it was one of those serendipitous moments where somebody somewhere was on our side."

Speaking to The Daily Star about her collaboration with Ed Sheeran, Ware said: "The way Ed writes and his work ethic is incredible. I have to give him so much credit for being able to write something that's so right for me and elevates the way I sing - he really pushed me hard."

The song's music video was directed by the Tell No One duo of Luke White and Remi Weekes, who collected the Golden Lion at the 2013 Cannes Festival for their short film Metamorphosis. The clip has a natural history museum setting. "When I found out Tell No One were interested in directing 'Say You Love Me,' I was so confident they would deliver something visually beautiful and provocative," Ware said. "They are such talents and I have been a fan of their work for a while."

"It was probably the most technically challenging thing I have worked on, but for them, it looked like a walk in the park," she added. "They have such confidence in what they do, it was inspiring to watch."

Jessie Ware told DIY magazine that she admired how comfortable Sheeran is with being a songwriter. "It was amazing to watch," she said. "I didn't want to deny myself a song that's so beautiful. And it was so easy to write, which makes it even sweeter."

"It wasn't this thing where we were sitting down going, 'How are we going to pull at people's heartstrings?!'" she added. "You know. It was literally instinct and that's so brilliant."

The closing section that sounds like a gospel choir is in fact just the voices of Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware and co-producer Benny Blanco's own father and brother layered many times.

Flora-Bama Song Chart

This song was inspired by the Flora-Bama bar on Perdido Key in Florida. It was penned by Kenny Chesney with David Lee Murphy (Thompson Square's "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not"). "It's a very specific song about a very specific place, but it's also a song for anyone who has somewhere they go to let their mind unwind," said the singer. "It's about bein' easy, but bein' engaged. Because — as I've said — places like the Flora-Bama are what life is all about."

The song was given away free to fans who pre-ordered Chesney's The Big Revival album.

Chesney came up with the idea for the song after a friend told him about spending an entire afternoon in the Flora-Bama bar. "He'd just ducked in for a beer," said the country star, "and six hours later, he'd emerged with a bunch of new friends, a great time and the sort of memory you keep going back to."

Chesney said of the Flora-Bama lounge: "This place is so many things to so many people. It has been for a long time because they've shared life here. Friendships were born here. Relationships were born here. Every place you look, there's 50 years of memories. Lovers have written their names on the wall, they've declared their love for each other on the wall of this place."

Another Day in Paradise Song Chart

This addresses the consequences of ignoring the needy and homeless. It's a rare Phil Collins hit with a socially conscious message.

Collins told The New York Times how the song came together: "It was begun at the piano. I started playing and put it down on a tape so I wouldn't forget it. Then I decided to see what would happen when I started singing. When I began, the words just came out, 'She calls out to the man on the street.' I didn't set out to write a song about the homeless. Those were just the words I happened to sing. It was only then that I decided that was what the song would be about."

Many of the songs from ...But Seriously were written in attempt to offset what Collins called middle-of-the-road song choices that made his reputation "a little more trivialized than I wanted to be." He had just played the title thief in the 1988 adventure comedy Buster, for which he recorded a hit cover of the '60s pop song "A Groovy Kind Of Love."

He told Musician: "'Another Day in Paradise' was chosen because it was a bit different from what had gone on before. It would bring people back to the starting line of remembering what I'm about. I write 'In the Air.' I'm quite capable of writing a 'Two Hearts,' but let's not forget I'm also doing this kind of stuff."

This won a Grammy Award for Record of the Year. It also won the 1990 Brit Award for Best Single. (thanks, Bertrand - Paris, France)

Collins told The Mail on Sunday: "I wrote this after being in Washington DC where I was amazed by how many people I saw living in boxes."

He also explained in a Musician interview: "I remember when we played Washington... Washington was almost at a standstill and these people were trying to sleep on the grills where all the hot air was coming up, and you could see that it was in the shadow of Capitol Hill. I thought it was an extraordinary contradiction."

David Crosby of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, sang on this. Crosby worked with Collins on and off through the late '80s to early '90s; Collins performed background vocals for Crosby's 1993 song, "Hero," from the album Thousand Roads. (thanks, Jeff - Kendall Park, NJ)

The black-and-white music video, featuring Collins performing the song interspersed with images of homeless people, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Music Video, Short Form. It was no match for Paula Abdul and her rapping animated cat: "Opposites Attract" won the award.

Collins also met the problem of homelessness face-to-face in London while cutting this single. He remembers leaving the studio and seeing a homeless woman with two children who were begging for money. While the song shines a light on the issue, it also made him realize that, when confronted with it, he reacted the same as everyone else.

"What (the song) deals with is people's awkwardness with it. When it happened to me, I just walked straight past. I thought, I'm doing the same thing as everybody else... I felt awkward. I didn't ignore her but at the same time I didn't stop and give her some money... That's what the song deals with, people just sort of starting to pretend it's not happening."

Collins was criticized by the English press for singing about the poor despite being wealthy. He responded in a New York Times interview: "When I drive down the street, I see the same things everyone else sees. It's a misconception that if you have a lot of money you're somehow out of touch with reality."
