This tormented love song was written by Shane McAnally, Mark Nesler and Matt Fleener. Though Bentley did write six of the twelve tracks on Riser, he was more open to outside material than ever before. "I think in the past, I thought I was listening for outside songs, but I realize after going through this project that I haven't," the singer said at the album's listening party. " I wrote with a lot of people, I wrote with Shane McAnally a bunch, but I never wrote anything that beat what he pitched to me. I think it all kind of gelled together."

A Tout Le Monde

This song is often misinterpreted to be about suicide, as the lyrics can be heard as a suicide note.

On September 13, 2006, Kimveer Gill went on a shooting rampage at Dawson College in Montreal, eventually shooting himself. He was a fan of Megadeth and mentioned this song on his blog, which prompted Dave Mustaine, who wrote the song, to make this statement the next day: "Like everyone else, I am horrified and disgusted by the tragic events of yesterday. We will pray for everyone who has been hurt, and all the families that are suffering. 'A Tout Le Monde' is based on a dream I had, where my mother came back from heaven to say 'I love you.' It's about me talking to her again."

Mustaine: "We don't write music that has any kind of suggestion about taking one's life. It is more like, 'Hey, we have a problem, let's be part of the solution.'"

MTV banned the video because they thought it promoted suicide. They did show it after some special comments were added, explaining how many kids commit suicide every year in the US. This message appeared at the end of the video: "Suicide is not an answer. Get help." The woman and child in the video are Mustaine's wife Pam and son, Justis. "'Let's Do Something Tonight" is that 'I'm ready to do something dangerous' song, lead singer Mike Eli told Rolling Stone. "I think maybe that's why we love it so much. The title of Eli Young Band's fifth album was inspired by the group's days on the road, seeing cities big and small. "There's a general theme between small town America where every town is different, but in some ways, they are the same," said guitarist James Young. "We felt like the title encapsulated the best years of us driving all over the country playing music."

Vocalist Mike Eli added: "We've traveled all over the country and to other countries, but at the end of the day we all party the same way no matter what the culture or the town. To us, '10,000 Towns' is a great way to sum up this record in that way as well as who we are. We love traveling around the country and seeing all that and being a band of road dogs."

Even though they didn't write the track (it was penned by Rodney Clawson, Chris Tompkins, Craig Wiseman), it's clear the song resonated strongly enough with the band for them to choose it as the album title as well. "It kind of goes back to who we are as a band," bassist Jones explained to Radio.com . "And as a family, [one] that has seen that many towns and had those experiences."

This was used in commercials for Downy fabric softener. The letter from camp explained how he missed home because the pillow cases weren't washed in Downy.

Satellite Flight

Kid Cudi's fourth album, Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon, originally started as an EP in October 2013. "It was supposed to be this mini little thing for the fans and it ended up forming a life of its own," Cudi told MTV News.

The rapper added that the record acts as a bridge between his previous full-length project and the third chapter in his Man on the Moon series. "It starts where Indicud left off perfectly, and takes you right into MOTM III," Cudi said. "It's like a TV show that ends with that cliffhanger. The album ends that way, where you get that one song and before you know it, the song is over and the album is over, but there's a 'to be continued...' There's more to the story."

This is the title track to the album. It was originally debuted December 16, 2013 by Cudi on his SoundCloud page.

The song samples "Coronado II," a track from Polaris' 1999 album Music from the Adventures of Pete & Pete. The record contains a dozen songs composed by the band for the cult Nickelodeon television series, The Adventures of Pete & Pete.

Cudi said referring to the first line of the hook: "'Take it to the satellite' means think beyond what you know, look beyond what you can see, feel beyond what you can touch. The vibes."

The lyrics refer to a guy who kills his girlfriend because he doesn't want her to leave him. Crue bass player Nikki Sixx originally said he took the story from a newspaper headline, but later interviews reveal that he might have just made the whole thing up.

The death of Cherry's mother in 2009 was a devastating event for the singer. This song represents Cherry's lingering depression in the aftermath of her grief.
